Simon is a seasoned, scientifically-focused commercial professional with 28 years' experience in bringing innovative products into the clinical market and growing a global footprint. He joined MicrosensDx in 2023, having previously spent a number of years as Founding Director at Release Life Sciences and in senior roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Oxford Gene Technologies and Qiagen leading global teams and product development and launch programs.

Cathal McElgunn, PhD

COO

Cathal is an experienced molecular biologist with advanced capabilities in developing innovative and leading-edge products in the sample prep and assay space. He joined MicrosensDx in 2023 after 20 years in the molecular diagnostics industry; including in Erba Molecular, Nuclera, DNA Electronics, Lumora, Randox, MRC Holland and Novartis. Cathal has invented in the fields of nucleic acid sample prep, isothermal amplification, NGS and synthetic biology.

David Campbell

CFO (PT), MBA FCCA

David has over 25 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry having held senior positions with Cambridge Antibody Technology plc, Boehringer Ingelheim, Alizyme plc, Genzyme, Sartorius AG and Healx. David has extensive experience of IPO preparation, corporate finance, acquisitions, business integration, restructuring, international licensing transactions and investor relations.
